Purchasing: multi-supplier quotes, comparison and purchase order with no spreadsheet.
Ordeno's purchasing module starts at the requisition (manual, by reorder point or from the work order) and ends at goods receipt. The platform sends the request for quotation to suppliers, reads the replies, builds the comparison with effective cost, freight and recoverable taxes, and routes it for approval based on the amount.
What this module solves
Quotes lost in loose emails
Requests for quotation, replies and PDFs stay linked to the requisition.
Wrong comparisons
Effective cost accounts for freight, payment terms and tax credits, not just the unit price.
Purchases without authority levels
Amounts above the limit go through the workflow before becoming an order.
How it works
Requisition
Created from the inventory reorder point, the work order or a manual request from a department.
The right suppliers
Suggests suppliers based on purchase history and each one's qualification.
Request for quotation
Sends by email or WhatsApp, reminds those who haven't replied and reads the replies and attachments.
Comparison and approval
Builds the comparison with effective cost and lead time; above the authority level, it goes for approval.
Order and receipt
Creates the purchase order, tracks delivery and checks the receipt against the supplier's invoice.
Where AI comes in and where rules apply
Rule
Effective cost, taxes, authority levels and reorder points are calculated in code.
AI
The purchasing agent writes and sends the requests for quotation, reads supplier replies and PDFs, and chases late responses.
